A journey towards life beyond addiction
GUÉPART, a French non-profit association governed by the 1901 Associations Act, supports people experiencing addiction as well as their families and loved ones, through an innovative approach: a structured therapeutic programme centred on a supported journey away from daily routines.
Our mission
GUÉPART offers an innovative programme supporting recovery from addiction.
Founded by Etienne Steiger and supported by addiction medicine specialists, psychologists, healthcare professionals and leading institutions, GUÉPART combines therapeutic workshops, supported journeys away from everyday life and solidarity with local communities. Each journey encourages personal rebuilding, connection with others and responsible engagement, supporting meaningful, lasting change.

2026
The first GUÉPART programme cycle took place with the addiction service at Albert-Chenevier Hospital in Créteil, as part of the partnership with AP-HP. Completed in September 2026, it opens the way for further cycles with other partner organisations.
Our aim
To extend this model to other hospital addiction services and CSAPA (Centres de Soins, d’Accompagnement et de Prévention en Addictologie — specialised addiction treatment, support and prevention centres), first in Île-de-France and then across France.

Solidarity with a lasting impact
What this means in practice
Every GUÉPART therapeutic journey is also an opportunity to build a relationship of solidarity with the communities that welcome us.
Working alongside local organisations, each journey includes a respectful, useful humanitarian initiative developed together with the community.

“Meeting a community also means leaving something useful and lasting behind.”
Specific community support activities, identified with residents and carried out with local NGOs (access to water, healthcare, energy, infrastructure…)
A limited contribution from participants, in line with their abilities and therapeutic needs
Direct support for the local economy, with work carried out exclusively by professionals from the country
A French emergency doctor who provides free medical consultations and leaves appropriate medical supplies with the community
